Nick is currently in his fourth year of teaching Journalism and studio art at the Field School. Originally from Massachusetts, Nick earned his BA in Anthropology from Harvard and is completing his MA in Teaching Writing from Johns Hopkins. Before teaching, Nick was a professional writer with National Geographic magazine.
Nick works with high school students on writing and focuses on developing a personal voice and strong style. He also works with younger students on executive functioning and writing with clarity. He has a particular focus on working with reluctant writers.
