Taylor grew up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and is now a preschool teacher in NW DC. She graduated from Roanoke College with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and Elementary Education. She also has her master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in learning disabilities from American University. Taylor is currently in her 5th year of teaching.
With her background in early childhood, Taylor loves to teach children using play-based lessons. She believes that when you make learning fun and develop a strong relationship with your teacher, all children can build the confidence they need to feel and be successful. Taylor uses multi-sensory learning techniques to help build and solidify foundational skills in reading, math, and hand-writing.
