Valerie is an educator with over 23 years of teaching experience. She attended and graduated from Montgomery County Public Schools and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Elementary Education and Mathematics. Later she earned her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics and furthered her graduate education at George Washington University. Valerie’s teaching experience includes being an elementary school teacher, a middle school math teacher, a consulting teacher, a special education teacher, and a staff development teacher.

Valerie is creative, energetic,caring, patient, and enjoys making connections with learners of all ages. Valerie’s passion is working with children to help them discover their highest potential through effective effort. In her free time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her family and almost always can be found on a baseball field watching her son play baseball, at a cheering competition watching her daughter cheer, or taking her dog on long walks.
