Nina graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. She then went on to get her Master’s in Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University dual certifying in General and Special Education. Upon graduation, she began teaching in MCPS as a special education teacher in a self-contained and resource setting.
Nina believes in an individualized, multisensory approach to teaching and is trained in Orton Gillingham. In addition, she is a strong advocate of Social Emotional Learning in hopes of building confidence and reducing learned helplessness. In her free time, she enjoys an active lifestyle and spending time with friends and family.
